Adriana Lima Diet For Victoria’s Fashion Show Plus Her Regular Routine To Stay Lean Year Round

There has been a lot of media attention surrounding the Adriana Lima diet recently. In short, 9 days before the Victoria Secret fashion show she goes on a liquid diet and works out twice a day.

[There is no denying the Adriana Lima diet works. She does say though "Those teenagers out there, don't go starving yourself or only drinking liquids. Don't do that please,"]

9 days before the show, Adriana only consumes protein shakes and does two workouts per day. 12 hours before the show she doesn’t drink any liquids to dry out. “”No liquids at all so you dry out, sometimes you can lose up to eight pounds just from that,” Lima, 30, told the U.K.’s Daily Telegraph.

After her initial comments made headlines, she defender her extreme diet and workout. Adriana makes it clear this is not something she does regularly and it is not a long run diet.

“I know it’s very intense but … I just have an athlete’s mind and I appreciate doing this thing,” she said. “It’s not that I do crazy diets throughout the year. I just do it for this particular thing. After this show, I become normal again.”

That is all their is to it to the Adriana Lima diet before a fashion show, but trust me you do not want to follow this diet if you are just looking to get in shape. That was an extreme diet for a one off event that was going to be seen by millions, with millions on the line for it. Carry on reading if you are interested in how Adriana stays lean year round.

Adriana Lima Diet Plan All Year Round

This is how Adriana looks on a normal day, and as you can see their isn’t that much difference. You can clearly see a slight difference in her abs though. Staying lean year round is a good thing and something I do as a man. It makes it easier to get in quick shape, and Adriana went from looking on the left to how you see in the first picture in 9 days.

The day to day Adriana Lima Diet focuses on the portion control strategy. The portion control strategy is simply how much you eat in one meal. Adriana’s portions get smaller as the sun goes down. Her food choices focus around grilled vegetables, 4 ounces of a grilled meat, fruit, oats, nuts and surprisingly chocolates and candy.

Here is a sample of the Adriana Lima Diet

Breakfast

3 Eggs, oatmeal and handful of almonds or

Weetabix, plain yoghurt and an apple. A coffee, with 1 sugar or teaspoon of honey and milk

Lunch

Meat such as fish, beef, chicken breast with a cup of vegetables.

Snacks

Vegetables like carrot sticks, cucumbers and celery sticks. Fruits like blueberries and strawberries. She also has a spoonful of organic honey a day claiming “it boosts your immune system”.

Dinner

A small portion of salad. She likes to eat light in the evening as it helps her to sleep better. I done a post on sleep which is essential for optimum health.

The Adriana Lima diet doesn’t personally use this, but to burn fat at an even faster rate, and getting the supermodel body even quicker, consider looking into intermittent fasting.

Adriana Lima Workout

To get the body of Adriana Lima, The Adriana Lima diet isn’t enough. The Adriana Lima workout complements the diet and will achieve the look above. Adriana Lima has tried many forms of exercising such as yoga and spinning classes. Referring back to earlier when I said it is important to enjoy your workouts if you’re going to stick to a program, Adriana found a love for boxing and jump rope.

Adriana also does strength training as Justin Gelband knows that strength workouts develop the muscular tone needed for models.For her abs she does workouts such as planks and leg raises.

Is the Adriana Lima Diet And Adriana Lima Workout For You?

Most certainly, it is a very healthy diet and workout routine but don’t be scared of your new sexy image in the mirror, you may not recognise yourself. The Adriana Lima workout routine is definitely not easy. It is simple once you find your motivation and know what you are doing.

So in short, to get a body like Adriana Lima, follow the regular Adriana Lima diet and workout, and if you really have to get as lean as the picture above and are brave enough, try the Adriana Lima liquid diet. Diets like that in the long run are dangerous but for 9 days is okay. I am sure you could contact Adriana and know that she is okay.
