Live Case Study Part 3 & Best Workout Programs 2012

So this is going to be a 2 in 1 post. The first is a long overdue update on little brother Joel McIntyre and the second is about new years resolutions and the best workout programs I have used in 2011 that you can use in 2012. As you can see, he has again made great progress, he has built even more fat free muscle using Visual Impact for men workout and diet principles and has maintained his athleticism still.

Analysis

After seeing what his suggested body fat reading was, I decided that this measure was just too unreliable. Instead I am just going to go by his pictures and tape measurements.  To me his chest looks more bigger, his shoulders are wider, his lats have grown and his waist is thicker.

Here are his statistics as of 01/01/2012: Weight: 135.6 lbs

Measurements

Neck- 34 cm up by 1cm
Shoulders-107cm up by 2.5cm
Chest- 91cm up by 3.5cm
Arms- 26cm up by 1cm
Waist- 75.5 cm up by 4.5cm
Hips- 85.5cm up by 5.5 cm
Thigh- 48.5 cm up by 1.8 cm
Calf- 33 cm

All his measurements have increased since we last took them apart from his calves, so I guess more work is needed there, from a side angle his upper chest is lagging so more incline presses will be put in his workout. New Years Resolutions

This is the time of year everyone makes their new years resolutions to get fit and get in great shape. Gym memberships increase tenfold and fitness terms get searched like crazy in google. I am going to let you guys know my New YEars resolutions and save you guys some time on crap products by listing the best fitness and diet products you can use to get in shape.

My new years resolution is to pick up where I left off, carry on creating great content for you guys to read, excelling in my economics degree while all the while enjoying my life. My main goal however is to build what is known as the perfect male body, so to achieve this I need to get the perfect male measurements. I am not to far off, just need to increase my waist a little and increase the width in my shoulders and back. Here is a great lens on creating the winning mindset to achieving all your goals.

Best Workout Programs for Men and Women

When it comes to building muscle and burning fat, there are two programs that are hard to separate. These are Visual Impact Muscle Building and its female counterpart Visual Impact For Women and The Adonis Effect For men and Venus Index for women. I would say for simplicity and ease that Visual Impact edges it. Both programs are aimed at building the perfect body for males and females which resemble your favourite hollywood celebrity and fitness models. What I love about Visual Impact is you can use it for whatever goal you are aiming for and it is a constant source of knowledge for my blog posts. Want more muscle, use phase 1 and mix up with phase 2. Want to just maintain do phase 2, doing 2 workouts per week. Want to get shredded? Use phase 3.

Best Diet Programs

There was a few I have been using since June 2011 when I decided to get my body and health back. The main one was Eat Stop Eat. When I first read about this intermittent fasting concept, I was a little bit baffled but it was advice coming from guys with incredible phsyqiues. I tried it and saw terrific results, I dropped so much fat in a short period of time and maintained muscle mass still. This diet helped me lose weight which allowed me to eat my favourite foods still.

Another great free intermittent fasting resoruce is Martin Berkhan’s Lean Gains guide which is 16 hour daily fasting, which can be customised to gain muscle and burn fat.

Not a fan of intermittent fasting, try John Barban’s Anything Goes Diet to lose weight. I use these principles when initially burning fat but when it comes down to the losing the last 5lbs, the game changes and I switch to a different diet.

Losing the last 5 lbs of fat is the most difficult part of toning up. These last few lbs are very stubborn and require drastic actions and this is where the Diet Solution comes in. You can watch a free video for an explanation of what makes this program so effective but in short you pretty much go low carb. Time to ditch those carbs and processed foods.
